Joosten GS-Panels |
 |
| |
Grass and Grit panels for a perfect half-open surface. |
 |
INTRODUCTION
When talking about ecological friendly paving structures, we did not take long to think of manufacturing
half-open paving structures. This thought suits the idea of restoring rainwater as groundwater as rapidly
as possible. This enables you to save on sewers and drains. Furthermore, it's very environment friendly
since the always overworked sewing system is respected in this way.
Joosten GS-Panels are manufactured from high-quality polypropylene material.
This synthetic material has got the perfect properties for the application and is 100% recyclable!
Because of its unique design, no-one has been able to equalise the panel so far. Because of its canted walls,
it has a high load-bearing capacity (maximum of 560 tons per m2). The unique panel connection system enables quick
and efficient laying.

GUIDELINES FOR INSTALLATION

|
Grass applicationsHow deep the base course should be depends on the intended loads.
Installation starting from below can be guided as follows.
Dig up cunette, place suitable geotextile between the ground layer and
the mixed granular layer. The mixed granular should preferably be a 4/40 mix.
Tamp down well. Place suitable geotextile to separate
the mixed granular and the sand for the trees. Place the sand in an at least 10cm layer. Egalize/shape. Install GS-panels and fill
up with tree soil so that the soil exceeds the panel with 1 cm. Tamp down.
Sow with a suitable grass mixture. |

Grit applicationsHow deep the base course should be depends on the intended loads.
Installation starting from below can be guided as follows.
Dig up cunette, place suitable geotextile between ground layer
and mixed granular layer. The mixed granular should preferably be a 4/40
mix. Tamp down well. Place suitable geotextile to separate the mixed
granular and the clean sand. Place the clean sand for the sub-base layer. Compact sand well. Place suitable geotextile
to separate the sub-base layer and the GS-panels. Install GS-panels and fill with
grit 8/11 mm (good angle resistance) so that the grit exceeds the panel with 1 cm. |

|
In all casesIn all cases, one should take the dilatation coefficient
of the GS-panels into consideration.
It is crucial to create extra space when dealing with obstacles such as concrete strips, trees,
poles etc. With every order, Joosten Kunststoffen provides guidelines for installation.
The contractor himself remains responsible for how much cunette he digs up,
the thickness of the granular layer, the compactness and the choice of the geotextiles according
to the situation. |
