Without Gravel pro the gravel can and will roll away in every direction. You will sag into the gravel. By imply the gravel with Gravelpro you will get a stabil base which can be suitable for allowing traffic to go over it. With the Gravelpro it is easy to make, quickly, a stabil path.
Technical details of the Gravel pro:
The Firmagravel is a polypropylene hexagonal plate manufactured in the Netherlands using a precision plastic mould injection technique. This technique enables virgin plastic grains to form a strong, shaped plate with a constant wall thickness.
An ultrasound welding procedure ensures extreme internal strength, especially in the horizontal direction. There is a geotextile fleece attached to the underside of the Firmagravel sheet which removes the need to separately lay a geotextile fleece under the plates before filling in with gravel.
The standard "milky white" colour has the dimensions of 1200 x 2400mm, and other colours for special orders may be custom made to different sizes depending on the amount required for the special order. The Firmagravel sheet is 40 mm deep and is suitable for gravel grains up to 16mm.

Installation guidlines:Gravel-PRO is easy to install as the Gravel-PRO sheets can be cut to make any shape or figure you want by using a jigsaw. The Gravel-PRO must be infilled. The infill should be a depth of at least 6cm (60mm) above the foundation layer (base ground) that the sheets are going to be laid upon. The foundation layer should be suitable for the dynamic and static loads which you expect to be imposed upon the Gravel-PRO. It is recommended that a sand layer is placed underneath the Gravel-PRO sheet to ensure that the sheets can be laid level. To finish off the installation of Gravel-PRO, it is suggested that you leave a layer of 1 – 2 cm (10 – 20mm) of gravel above the level of the cell wall. The Indication is that 10m2 of Gravel-PRO will require approximately 1000kg of gravel. |
